I was downloading dat files from Aion open chinese beta. Chrome actually said the download was complete (all 5 files were roughly 30% short of complete).

I said F it and cp'ed the incomplete files to my linux file server and used wget to download the files.

Like this:

$ wget --continue www.url.com/path/file.01

wget was able to continue the downloads that Chrome cancelled. Pretty lucky for me considering the files are 1.9gb each.

That is a valuable lesson my friend and oddly enough I was in this exact same situation, not five minutes ago, with the 692MB Linux Kubuntu Desktop ISO.

I do have FireFox installed on my OS, although I rarely use it so I'm not thoroughly familiar with all of its features, such as the resumable downloads. Thank you for the useful tip.
