While I generally like Windows Vista, I think Microsoft did not get UAC anywhere near right. It is just too annoying. Outside your permission scheme it should only be two pop-ups. Of course, you could just turn off UAC, or go to a Linux system that requires you to type out a sudo command every time you want to change things outside your permissions scheme... but that'd take all of the fun out of hating Microsoft.
